South Dakota Salutes was organized to demonstrate the appreciation felt by the clear majority of South Dakota Citizens towards the selfless dedication and service provided by members of our Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, EMT’s, Military and Military Veterans.

It is a way to say "THANK YOU" to them for their service!

Our signature Appreciation Shooting Competitions are held each year on the last Monday and Tuesday of September. They include Sporting Clays team events, as well as Pistol and Rifle individual events. In 2024 we are adding a Sporting Clays event on Saturday morning.

​

Participants are provided: targets; ammunition; trophies; gifts; food & beverages; and “bragging rights.” Donations from sponsors like you allow these appreciation events to remain FREE of Charge to all South Dakota First Responders.
